The musical talent of Ustina Dubitsky was already evident at a young age. She made her first stage appearance as a member of the children's choir of the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, while at the same time enjoying intensive violin training. As concertmaster in various youth orchestras, she was able to develop her leadership qualities, not least under great conductors such as Mariss Jansons.
She is currently assistant at Gürzenich Orchester Köln.
In 2022 Ustina assisted Maestro Roth in the new production of Lohengrin at the Bayerische Staatsoper and of The Magic Flute at the Thèâtre des Champs-Élysées with Les Siècles. In April 2024, she made her debut at the Bavarian State Opera with the new production of the dittico Lucrezia/Der Mond.
She has conducted orchestras such as the Gürzenich Orchester Köln, the Philharmonie Luxembourg, Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música, Orchestre de Paris, Ensemble Modern, Deutsche Kammerakademie Neuss, Orchestre national Avignon Provence, Orchestre national de Cannes, Orchestre Victor Hugo, Paris Mozart Orchestra, Orchestre de Picardie, Dresdner Philharmonie and the Orchestre national de Metz.
After participating in the 57th International Conducting Competition in Besançon, she was assistant at the Orchestre Victor Hugo from January 2022 to July 2023. In March 2022, she won the Orchestra prize and was awarded a two years fellowship at the Academy La Maestra.
Ustina Dubitsky began her conducting training in Weimar after completing her music school studies. She studied with Markus L. Frank, Prof. Gunter Kahlert and Prof. Nicolas Pasquet and she received further inspirations in masterclasses from Peter Eötvös, David Zinman and Paavo Järvi, among others. In 2021 she completed her Master's degree with Prof. Johannes Schlaefli in Zurich.
Ustina takes every occasion to create her own projects, such as the live stream concert "Wie ich dich liebe" with musicians from the Gewandhausorchester.
