Ustina Dubitsky is currently the assistant conductor of François-Xavier Roth with the

Gürzenich Orchester Köln.

In March 2022, she won the Orchestra Prize in conducting competition ‘La Maestra’ at the Philharmonie de Paris with the Paris Mozart Orchestra.  She was awarded a two years fellowship at the Academy La Maestra.  In September 2021, she participated in the 57th conducting competition in Besançon, after which she assisted Jean-François Verdier with the Orchestre Victor Hugo Franche-Comté in 2022-23.
She was invited to work with several orchestras such as the Gürzenich-Orchester Köln, Philharmonie Luxembourg, Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música, Orchestre de Paris, Ensemble Modern, Deutsche Kammerakademie Neuss, Orchestre National Avignon Provence, Orchestre National de Cannes, Orchestre Victor Hugo Franche-Comté, Orchestre de Picardie, Dresdner Philharmonie or the Orchestre National de Metz.

In November 2022 she assisted François-Xavier Roth in the new production of Lohengrin in the Bavarian state opera, where she will return to conduct Lucrezia/Der Mond in April 2024.

 

Dubitsky has devoted herself to conducting in 2014.  She studied in Weimar and Zurich with Johannes Schlaefli, Markus L. Frank, Gunther Kahlert and Nicolas Pasquet. Further opportunities to learn came from Peter Eötvös, David Zinman, Paavo Järvi, Matthias Pintscher or William Christie and Les Arts Florissants.

Ustina also takes every occasion to create her own projects, such as the live stream concert "Wie ich dich liebe" in July 2020 with musicians from the Gewandhausorchester.
